Visit the National Air and Space Museum - it's so cool! When I went they had the "Moving Beyond Earth" exhibit which puts you "in orbit" to explore recent human spaceflight and future possibilities. The exhibit was interactive, I got to a chance to fly a shuttle and try keep it on course, and got a chance to assemble the elements of a space station. $8 admission.
